You will also have the chance to meet new people, make friends, and expand your network.

So, if you are looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community, and want to be a part of a passionate and dedicated team, then we invite you to join us in our mission. Together, we can create a brighter future for all.

Religious Discrimination in Public Schools

South Africa is a democratic society with a diverse population of different cultures, languages and religions. This should be particularly evident in our public schools where no particular religious ethos may be dominant over and suppress others.

However, many public schools do not protect the equal religious rights of all their learners and do not live up to our democratic core values.

It is with this in mind that we developed a practical guide to help parents better understand what their rights and options are; what public schools must and can do; particularly if a parent feels that a school is discriminating against their child.  The aim of this is not to ban religion education in schools, but to explain how to protect our children from coercion and religious indoctrination.

Critical Thinking Project

Roadmap to Reason

The aim of the project was to create a critical thinking course for South African public schools that can be integrated into the existing Life Orientation curriculum. The course is designed to enhance students’ ability to analyse information, evaluate arguments, and develop sound reasoning skills. The project focuses on developing a curriculum that is accessible and engaging for students of different ages, backgrounds, and learning styles.  We are looking for private schools who are willing to pilot the course.  The ultimate goal is to work with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) at the national and provincial level to ensure that the course is implemented in public schools across South Africa, with the aim of improving students’ critical thinking abilities and preparing them for success in this rapidly changing world.
